Condition of Man
 

Romans 3:23
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

God's standard is perfection. No matter how good we could try to live we will always fail to measure up. Because we are separated from God because of sin, we deserve a place called Hell. There is nothing we can do to repair this situation. As a matter of fact, God's Word tells us that the very best we could do would not be worthy of God's favor.

Isaiah 64:6
"But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags..."

God's Plan

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son that whosoever believeth on Him, should not perish but have everlasting life."

God spared nothing from man in order to restore the broken relationship that existed between God and man. He gave it ALL. Can you imagine how much God loves you that He could give His Son to be able to have a relationship with you?

Romans 5:8
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. "

As Christ lived His life and eventually went to the cross, He knew that you and I were sinners. Even though He knew the things that we would do against God and our fellow man, He gave His Life that we might find forgiveness and life. The Bible says that Jesus blood cleanses us from all sin.

1 John 1:7
"...the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

His Incredible Offer of Grace

 

Ephesians 2:8-9
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast"

God says you receive salvation by grace, His unmerited favor and your faith. Faith is trusting in Christ alone for salvation. We communicate our faith through prayer,

Romans 10:9-10
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

God asks you to believe with everything you are that Jesus died for you and that He lives again so that you might have life for all eternity in a place called Heaven. If you desire to be saved, God wants to hear from you. He tells us to call on Him.

Romans 10:13
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. "

The Lord says in His Word if you are willing to invite Him into your heart He will Save you. You can do that by simply praying to Him and asking Him to come into your heart. The prayer could be as simple as Lord save me. The key is not what you say but that you mean it with all your heart that you want Him to come into your life.

1. God calls on you to follow in baptism.
Romans 6:4
"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

2. God calls on you to get involved in a Bible believing church.
Hebrews 10:24-25
"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together..."

3. God calls on us to tell others about what He has done for us.
Matthew 28:19-20
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
